So we meet again, as star-crossed lovers are known to do. Wish I could say that I have done more than wear away the soles of my dirty shoes.
Broken VCR keeps playing tapes of all the times before.
Before I know what I was letting go. That was par for the second course.

Been smoking less cigarettes.
I figure that’s something you’d take kind to.
And I heard you got yourself a boyfriend now.
I’d say he’s lucky that he found you.
But for me there’s no middle ground.
Can’t be the friend I know you want me to be.
I know I know so much about you,
but sometimes I feel like I don’t know anything.
And the truth is that I still love you.

So if you take my advice, just don’t listen to me.
We’re not suggesting that you scale the highest tower

but while you’ve got your gun, make good use of the scope, reflecting on the woman you want to become
